Human Resources Generalist

Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with an industry leader in wholesale plumbing, heating, underground, municipal, and fire protection wholesale distribution located in Grand Rapids, who is actively looking to hire an HR Generalist. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing learning & development programs, conducting full-cycle recruiting, overseeing compliance, and more. The HR Generalist will be an integral part of our Human Resources team and be responsible for efficient, accurate, and effective design and implementation of Learning & Development programs at all levels of our organization. What you'll do:Audit and review Learning & Development programs effectiveness.Continuously evaluate training needs at all levels of the organization.Develop and update programs to meet demands of the market and industry.Manage internal recruitment needs by conducting full-cycle searches and working 1:1 with internal hiring managers. Support compliance team by managing internal requirements and updates. Support nationwide workforce development through new, innovative programs and delivery optionsSupport workforce by meeting routinely to understand needs, gaps, and to develop growth trajectories. What you'll need: 5 years of experience overseeing a Learning & Development departmentBachelor's degree from four-year college or university, preferred. Demonstrated working experience in the following areas:Full-cycle recruitingCreating and providing trainings in-person and online.Utilizing and maintaining an LMS.Experience in a multi-location, multi-state environment highly desired.PHR or SHRM-CP certification desired.Experience with ADP, preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesWorking knowledge of Human Resource concepts and federal, state, and local employment laws.Working knowledge of federal and state OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethics.Effective interpersonal, communication, customer service, teamwork, judgment, adaptability, organization, prioritization, negotiation, stress management, accuracy, presentation, persuasion, listening, delegation, decision making, and problem-solving skills.Ability to travel occasionally.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, ADP, and other HR-related software and systems.
