Job DescriptionThe Custody Client Associate is a client facing position serving as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned custody client relationships, ranging from family and multi-family offices, independent registered investment advisors (RIAs), foundations and endowments, and direct unaffiliated custody accounts. Custody Client Associates contribute to the successful retention of clients by providing outstanding client service. Primary Responsibilities:Serve as single point of contact for specific clients. This includes managing all incoming requests for processing and fielding a broad range of questions and inquiries from clients.Research and resolve client inquiries in a timely and accurate manner, communicate effectively and coordinate ad-hoc client requests. Escalate as needed with a sense of urgency.Review all daily activity and transaction reports.Collaborate with Custody Account Manager and Operations team to resolve any issues or transaction discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain appropriate records of daily and monthly client activities.Research and resolve exceptions, reconciliations, incorrect transactions and other issues.Maintain a working knowledge of the operational group's workflow and processing activities. Document any updates or changes to formal procedures, workflows, databases, etc.Other ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with custody team members and operational groups on workflow efficiencies, process improvement projects, and day to day client requests.Cross train on other relationships in the Custody team, serve as back-up to other Custody Client Associate assigned relationships as needed. Support training of new Custody team members.Assist Custody Account Managers to develop, implement, and maintain standard client service level agreements.Perform other duties as needed including special projects and participating in quarterly client reviews and occasional client calls/meetings.Required Skills and CharacteristicsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and a focus in Finance or related field preferred; 2-5 years of meaningful client service experience in financial services; custody operations experience is a plus.Exceptional communication, client service, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.Detail oriented, accurate and able to prioritize short and long-term deadlines. Collaborate well with other colleagues outside own area of expertise.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
