If that sounds like an organization you want to be a part of, we would love to have you.ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSEThe Maintenance Technician I will maintain the integrity of the NHC sites and ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning. This role will perform a variety of repairs and/or troubleshooting tasks to complete assigned work orders.This position requires travel to other site such as Valley Center, San Marcos, Ohio and Interfaith. RESPONSIBILITIES• Receives verbal or written instructions from manager to perform tasks to complete assigned digital work orders, such as preventative and routine maintenance tasks• Shares information relevant to ongoing tasks with supervisors and employees at impacted sites• Performs minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs, as needed• Cleans and maintains all NHC sites walls, windows, and walkways • Maintains planter beds, bushes, and trees around facilities, including raking, sweeping, and deposing debris • Maintains irrigation controls to properly water all plants• Keeps all parking lots, walkways, and paths on NHC properties clean and free of tripping hazards• Restocks various buildings with janitorial supplies, as needed• Moves furniture, boxes, equipment, as needed• Picks up and delivers supplies and materials to sites• Sets up and tears down chairs, tables, and equipment in meeting rooms and function rooms, as needed• Submits requests for supplies, tools, and equipment to Facility Manager• Paints exterior and interior walls, unplugs stopped drains/toilets, empties trash receptacles, and breakdowns/disposes of boxes, as needed• Maintains a NHC toolboxes with hand and power tools• Coordinates with Facilities Manager to chaperone vendors performing work at NHC sites. • Responds to emergency service calls at NHC sites• Ensures all purchase receipts are entered into COUPA within 24 hours of receipt• Completes and follow-ups on job safety assessment corrections• Impact patient experience by demonstrating courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracyEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE• High school diploma/GED required• Two years of facilities maintenance related experience required• Valid CA driver's license and proof of valid auto insuranceADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skills• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form• Knowledgeable about and experience with facilities maintenance, woodwork, and landscaping• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Excellent planning and organizational ability• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently• Ability to work a variety of different shift types• Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical mannerPhysical Requirements• Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs/weight• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and stand for long periods of time• Ability to climb ladders and lift/carry boxes, tools, equipment, and materials• Ability to wear and use proper safety items, such as googles and glovesNeighborhood Healthcare offers a generous benefit plan that includes: Partially company paid Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans.
