Learn more about our firm at .Job descriptionWaters Edge Aquatic Design has a career opportunity for a Project Engineer/ Project Manager (Water Recreation). Our team is looking for a driven professional who enjoys their work and who has a strong, technically sound engineering background. The applicant would initially be responsible for engineering design efforts related to their engineering specialty, with opportunities to grow into project management of the team's efforts on projects from schematic design through construction administration. Engineering specialties could include one of the following: site civil engineering, electrical design and controls, HVAC design and controls, structural engineering. Additionally, this position could be the main point of contact for assigned projects and work directly with staff, engineers, clients and other project stakeholders. Typical responsibilities as a Project Manager would include: assigning tasks to design staff, managing deadlines, giving status updates, and ensure all project related inquiries are met.Desired Skills & ExperienceAn ideal candidate would have a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, including potentially civil, structural, architectural, or mechanical engineering. Preference is someone with a Professional Engineer's license, or a qualified EIT candidate who has passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and is soon eligible to apply for professional licensing. Required skills and abilities include: · 3+ years of relevant project management/project engineer experience is strongly preferred· A Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET- Accredited Program· A related Engineering degree or combination of education, training and experience will be considered · Have a Professional Engineer's license and or ability to obtain within a few years · Self-starter with critical thinking skills and close attention to detail· Positive attitude with a creative mindset· Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills· Ability to write engineering reports and letters, including analysis, recommendations, and costing· Ability to develop a set of design documents· Ability to work with internal and external staff on project development and coordination · AutoCAD, and/or Revit experience is preferredBenefitsWe offer our employees a relaxed work environment, competitive salary and an excellent benefits package.
