If you're ready to make a significant impact and be part of a company that values innovation and quality, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.Designer Responsibilities:Develop the product design strategy, design and development execution for the branded intimates division and private labelClearly communicate product vision to design and development teamsEvaluate internal and external resources to evaluate the best and most cost-effective approach to design creation and product developmentMaintain a firm command of marketplace trends (including consumer, fashion, and product)Prepare fashion trend boards and color stories as requiredCollaborate with CAD designers and technical designers, vendors, and factories to ensure new products are developed on time, correctly, both aesthetically and structurallyDevelop branded and private label line plans to capture business-building opportunitiesWork jointly with Business Managers, factories, and the Sourcing department in the development of appropriate and cost-effective sourcing strategiesManage the product costing process through the timely submission of prototype packages to factories and vendorsRevise materials and product designs to accomplish profit margin objectives relative to anticipated wholesale and retail pricesBuild working relationships with materials/component vendors and manufacturers to accomplish product sourcing needsActively participate in regular meetings with Sales to present product trends, strategies, and seasonal lines to build our mutual businessesApply sound professional and fiscal management in the oversight of the department, including budget line items, especially in the areas of outsourced design resources, sample materials, freight costs, T&E, and samplingDesigner Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Design or related field5+ years of experience in sleepwear and intimates, preferable in womens and kids is a PLUSProficiency in Illustrator and PhotoshopSelf-motivated with strong teamwork skillsProblem-solving abilities in deadline-driven environmentsHighly organized and adaptableExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
