This role involves managing low voltage (Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary electrical engineer ensuring reliability of electrical equipmentManages equipment and Preventive Maintenance Improvement Program, reviews reports, identifies issues, recommends improvements, optimizes PM frequencies, and develops strategies for new equipmentIdentifies and tracks risks and vulnerabilities to improve safety, reliability, and sustainabilityPerforms trending to identify and address failing equipmentDevelops projects and solutions to mitigate risksCoordinates with Facilities Operations and Maintenance to prioritize and schedule workMaintains equipment metrics, communicates KPIs, and leads quarterly meetings to review priorities and strategiesProvides daily support for Electrical Systems, advises on troubleshooting, conducts failure investigations, and proposes reliability improvementsInteracts with CMMS for maintenance tracking, compliance, and asset history, providing guidance for complex repairsSupports outages, equipment overhauls, and repairsMaintains up-to-date electrical system records, drawings, and panel schedulesReviews LOTO permits and conducts Arc Flash calculationsManages Electrical Specifications, soliciting feedback and ensuring periodic updatesQualificationsRequiredBS/MS/PhD in electrical engineering or related5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experienceExperience with electrical system troubleshooting, testing and preventive maintenance programs, and risk assessmentsExperience conducting electrical engineering studies of low and medium voltage equipment including power system analysis involving short circuit, voltage drop, power factor, protective device coordination, and Arc Flash analysis by using SKMExperienced in computer-based power system modeling with one of the following software packages (SKM, Easy Power, ETAP)Demonstrated experience in the application of electrical codes, regulations and standards (i.e. NEC/NFPA 70, NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E, ANSI/IEEE, NETA MTS, NETA ATS)PreferredKnowledgeable in Schneider Electric Power Monitoring Expert system and ION metersExperienced in protection, control, automation, and SCADA for Medium and High Voltage (12.47kV and 115kV) systemsElectrical design expertise in medium and low voltage power systemsAdvanced understanding of electrical construction methods and selection of electrical equipment, including medium/low voltage switchgearProficient in AutoCADRegistered professional engineer in the State of CaliforniaBenefitsCompetitive compensation package (up to $210k base depending on experience)Hybrid work schedule - candidates should reside in or be willing to relocate to the greater San Francisco Bay areaComprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurancePension or 401K-style plans with generous matchingOpportunities for continuous growth via L&D, mentorship programs, and top notch education resourcesEmail Your Resume In Word ToLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
