Maimonides is an affiliate of Northwell Health and a major clinical training site for SUNY Downstate College of Medicine.In this role, you will assist the IRB Director with: advising investigators and research coordinators in IRB policy and human subject research regulations; review new study submissions and follow-up study events; aid in preparation of monthly Research Committee agendas and minutes; aid in educational initiatives; perform a variety of administrative tasks as required; maintaining and establishing efficient, orderly and effective procedures and timely flow of communication.In addition, you willPerform regulatory review and analysis of research study submissions for consistency, completeness, and compliance with federal, state, local regulations, and institutional policy.Provide guidance and consultation regarding the interpretation of regulations, laws, and policies to researchers, staff, and research administrators related to IRB research submissions.Consult with stakeholders, researchers, staff, IRB members and other customers on research projects. Communicate with investigators to facilitate the review process.Attend monthly IRB Committee meetings. Assist with minutes and accurate attendance records.Assist the IRB Director with educational initiatives.Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, program safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Incorporates the Medical Center's customer service goals into daily work activities.Obtain and maintain educational certifications required for field.We require:Bachelor's degree or four years of experience in a related fieldPreferred qualifications:Two years of experience in an IRB administrative office or Human Research Protections OfficeExperience with single IRB responsibilitiesSalary $70,000-$100,000.
