Senior Structural Engineer

SummaryDPS is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer, with a strong desire to work and learn in a collaborative environment. This role will be working directly with other senior and junior structural engineers and support the DPS internal teams on projects of all scales, from existing structure renovations to new buildings and expansions. This is a full-time role, located in Cary, NC.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the design and planning process for multi-faceted production facilities Production and coordination of structural construction documents under the direction of the Structural Department ManagerAssist the Structural Department Manager by taking responsibility for portions of the project design work, including leading design development, contract document preparation, and construction administration services for the project teamWork with other internal disciplines, clients, contractors, and local building officials under the direction of the Structural Department Manager to coordinate construction issuesResearch building materials and incorporate into project specificationsMentor junior designers in analysis and design, code research, product research, and construction document creation, drawing and detailing, as requiredSupport the Structural team on projects by effectively multi-tasking, delegating as required, and collaborating in a team environmentSkills & QualificationsBachelors/Master of Civil Engineering degree with 7+ years of structural design experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) License PreferredExcellent verbal and written communications skillsMust have strong knowledge and experience with Structural Design Software, Revit and AutoCAD experience is a plus Be design-oriented with a positive "can-do" attitude and willingness to learn and think outside the boxUnderstanding of building codes for structural designMust be well organized, engaged, flexible, and self-motivatedMaintain a professional and productive relationship with clients and co-workersProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Deltek Vision or equivalent; Office 365The CompanyDPS Group is a global EPCM firm offering full-service solutions within the Life Sciences (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical technology) and Advanced Technology (semiconductor, data center, and solar) industries.
