In this role, the ideal candidate will engage in close collaboration with developers, product area / squad leaders, operations, and business partners, actively contributing to the modernization of our technology landscape and the improvement of operational efficiency.The Systems Analyst will own the design of sophisticated software applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards and align seamlessly with our organizational norms. Responsibilities include analyzing both current and new business and technical processes, identifying system interfaces and dependencies, and documenting process and system flows. You will also analyze and reverse-engineer existing and new applications, translate their functions, and help develop clear technical specifications.The Expertise and Skills You BringEducationBachelor or any equivalent degree with computer science background or related discipline.SkillsExpert level systems analysis experience in business critical, sophisticated applications. Knowledge of Asset Management would be a huge advantage, with a background in business facing tooling.Sophisticated analysis expertise of end-to-end processes, using tools and techniques for communicating and analyzing data including, rest API technologies, SQL, JSON, Postman/InsomniaCurrent hands-on experience writing SQL queries and joining multiple data sets. Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Oracle and non-SQL databases strongly preferred.Data-driven and can measure, collect, and use data to make decisions. We understand the value of intuition and the need to balance decisions accordingly.Highly analytical and can assess magnitude and impact of the work, down to the story level.Strong analytical, facilitation and communication skills including written, verbal, and technology illustrations.Knowledge of basic Java within the development ecosystem or similar technologies is a plus.Strong written and verbal and communication skills with technical expertise to drive outcomes and impactfully influence others.Expertise in defining test cases at the right level of detail and define test cases and ensure acceptance criteria matches real business value - i.e., ensure we are testing the right things.Passion to provide guidance on standard methodologies and mentoring support to the other Systems Analysts as our team grows.Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, with a focus on AWS, including familiarity with cloud migration strategies and tools.The TeamAt the core of our mission, Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT) serves as the catalyst for our business partners to excel in their respective markets. Wearing multiple hats, you will orchestrate the coordination of development, spearhead solution design, and proactively adopt new technologies to improve existing processes.
