We are seeking an experienced Sales Application Engineer to drive the adoption and growth of our high-efficiency cooling solutions. This remote position is ideal for a technically-savvy sales engineer with a strong understanding of thermal management technologies and a passion for helping customers optimize their cooling systems. Founded in 2005, they are 50-employees in the US and still growing. The company's headquarters is in Montreal, Canada with additional manufacturing and production internationally.DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Provide technical expertise during the sales process, including identifying customer requirements and recommending the best high-efficiency cooling solutions.Conduct product demonstrations, feasibility studies, and site assessments to ensure the most optimal solution is proposed.Develop and present technical proposals, including detailed product specifications, system layouts, and application benefits.Collaborate with clients to assess their cooling needs and work alongside engineering and R&D teams to tailor solutions that maximize efficiency and performance.Provide technical input to modify or customize cooling solutions to meet specific customer applications and conditions, including site layout and integration requirements.Create technical documentation such as datasheets, product manuals, system diagrams, and application guides.Present technical content to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including engineers, procurement teams, and executives.Work closely with the sales, engineering, product management, and manufacturing teams to ensure solutions are feasible, efficient, and meet client expectations.Assist in the development of technical marketing materials and support the creation of new product offerings based on customer feedback and market trends.Educate internal sales teams on the technical aspects of high-efficiency cooling solutions and the value they bring to customers.Provide ongoing training and support for both customers and internal stakeholders to ensure they have a deep understanding of the products and their application.Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and technical stakeholders across a variety of industries.Act as the trusted advisor for customers by providing insight into the latest cooling technologies and trends in the industry.Regular travel (up to 50%) to customer sites for technical evaluations, solution implementation support, and post-sales follow-up.ProfileKey Requirements:3+ years of experience in a technical sales or application engineering role, preferably in high-efficiency cooling solutions, HVAC, thermal management, or related fields.Experience working with industrial cooling systems, heat exchangers, cooling towers, chillers, or similar products is strongly preferred.Strong understanding of cooling technologies, thermal management systems, heat transfer principles, and energy efficiency in cooling applications.Ability to design and recommend cooling system solutions based on customer requirements, including application of simulation tools or calculation methods where applicable.Excellent technical communication skills, with the ability to translate complex engineering concepts into clear and actionable proposals.Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think creatively to meet customer needs.Ability to develop and present engaging technical presentations to a variety of audiences.Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across departments (sales, engineering, product management).Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Energy Systems, Thermodynamics, or a related technical field is preferred.Certification or training in HVAC, thermal management, or energy efficiency solutions is a plus.Proficient in using CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Familiarity with design or simulation software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools for creating system layouts or assessments.Must be able to travel up to 50% for site visits, client meetings, and industry events.Must be self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote setting.Job OfferCompensation & Benefits:Base Salary: Competitive base salary with performance-based incentive structure.Incentives: Uncapped commission opportunities based on sales performance.Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off (PTO), and professional development support.Travel: Company-provided travel resources, including expenses for client visits and site evaluations.Training: Access to ongoing product and technical training to stay ahead of industry trends and customer needs.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
