Job Title: Senior Maintenance Technician FLSA Status: Non-exempt EEO Category: Production Department: MaintenancePurposeThe Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing and performing complex maintenance and repair tasks for machinery, equipment, and facilities. This role involves diagnosing issues, conducting preventative maintenance, managing maintenance projects, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.Basic FunctionThe Senior Maintenance Technician is tasked with performing and managing maintenance activities to ensure smooth operations of machinery and equipment.Reporting RelationshipReports directly to the Maintenance Manager.Job RequirementsEducation• Required: High School/GED or vocational school equivalent• Preferred: Trade Certification in CNC Machine repairs, specifically for Mazak, Okuma, MORI, and Mitsubishi equipmentExperience• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of CNC machines, manual machines, and other equipment• Preferred: Experience with robots, automation, and advanced machinerySkills, Knowledge, and Abilities• Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, and other work-related documents• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems• Extensive skill and knowledge in CNC machine operation, maintenance, and repair• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and basic hand tools• In-depth knowledge of electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and PLC systems• Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and task prioritization• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Ability to self-manage and stay on task• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications• Must work well with others, including external contactsPhysical DemandsWhile performing this job, the employee will occasionally walk, climb, kneel, or crouch. Regular activities include standing, sitting, talking, listening, and using hands to handle tools. The position may require occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds and frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a manufacturing environment and involves occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and toxic chemicals. Work is performed near moving mechanical parts, and the noise level is often loud.AuthorityThe Senior Maintenance Technician can complete daily assignments but must obtain supervisor approval for changes to job operations.
