DescriptionConstruction Estimator - Springfield, MA Prepare Detailed Estimates: Accurately develop and prepare cost estimates for commercial and federal construction projects up to $5M, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.Bid Preparation & Submission: Lead the preparation of bids for projects by reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and other documents to ensure accurate, competitive, and timely submission.Subcontractor/Vendor Coordination: Solicit and review quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring all scopes of work are accounted for, and build relationships to secure competitive pricing.Project Takeoffs: Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements.Cost Control & Budgeting: Monitor project budgets throughout the pre-construction and construction phases, identifying cost-saving opportunities and tracking variances.Risk Assessment: Analyze and identify potential project risks, including project scope gaps, discrepancies, and potential design conflicts, and communicate these risks to the project team.Client & Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to review project requirements, adjust estimates as needed, and provide support during project execution.Compliance & Regulations: Ensure all cost estimates adhere to federal and local construction regulations, codes, and standards.Software Utilization: Utilize industry-specific estimation software and tools (such as ProEst, Bluebeam, or similar) to streamline estimating processes and maintain accurate recordsPlease apply today for consideration within 2 business days. ProfileConstruction Estimator - Springfield, MA Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a construction estimator, with a proven track record of estimating commercial and/or federal projects up to $5M.Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial and federal construction processes, materials, and techniques.Software Proficiency: Proficient in construction estimation software (e.g., ProEst, Bluebeam, Timberline) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail with excellent mathematical and analytical skills.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience in the construction industry.Certifications (Preferred): LEED Accreditation, Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), or similar credentials.Knowledge of Federal Contracts: Familiarity with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and working on federal projects is a plus.Please apply today for consideration within 2 business days.
