Estimator

We are seeking an experienced estimator to join our team with a focus on commercial roofing nstruction. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of construction systems and disciplines, and able to complete comprehensive cost estimates without assistance from others. This position is responsible for all aspects of projects from start to finish with the assistance of your estimating team.Responsibilities:Review plans and specifications to prepare comprehensive cost estimatesKnowledgeable of construction systems and disciplines, knowledgeable about sitework, concrete, carpentry, openings, specialties, mechanical and electrical, in order to complete comprehensive cost estimatesUtilize estimating software(s) such as Blue Beam, On-Screen, Planswift, Cost-OS, Sage EstimatingCoordinate with project team members to develop project schedules and budgetsDevelop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractorsAttend project meetings and provide input on cost and constructabilityMonitor project costs and ensure projects stay within budgetProvide input on value engineering and cost-saving measuresQualifications:Knowledgeable of construction systems and disciplines, and siteworkUnderstanding of general contracting self-performed trades such as concrete construction, carpentry, openings, specialties, etc.Experience with estimating software(s) such as Blue Beam, On-Screen, Planswift, Cost-OS, Sage Estimating5 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction estimatingAbility to read and interpret plans and specificationsStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyStrong communication and negotiation skillsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferredIf you are an experienced estimator with a focus on commercial roofing construction and meet the above qualifications, we encourage you to apply.Reach out to Jalen Thompson at (605) 705-3304 for a confidential conversation.All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
