We are partnered with a reputable and well respected Fire Protection company who is actively looking to grow their already established team with a Fire Sprinkler Design Manger. Fire Protection Design Manager will be responsible for supervising, managing, training, and teaching the current designers within the office. The fire protection Design Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager and the Division Manager on current and upcoming projects.Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Schedule design based on job and schedule requirementsEnsure projects are assigned to appropriate design team membersEnsure quality management throughout construction design processResponsible for communication and status reporting to design team members, customers and managementManage team of designers providing leadership, training, mentoring and coachingProvides responsive, concise, accurate and professional support to all customers and other personnel and ensures timely follow-up on all customer concerns and issues.Perform site surveys and train team member on proper site survey processPerform quality checks on drawings through head layout, pipe layout and pipe size review meetings with designer and General ManagerPerform field checks and site visits as neededManage design team's workloadBuild relationships with customers, sales and operations teamsDesign review and approval of all drawings prior to submittalReview and approve all resubmittalsUpon submittal approval, ensure designers provide final listings and complete Foreman prints prior to pipe on job dateKnow local codes & AHJ requirements within local jurisdictionsManage commitment dates to ensure they are met; communicate to appropriate team members if commitment date is at risk of being missedAssist with recruitment and interviewing of possible design candidatesProvide awareness to sales and operations team when there is an increase in scope or headcounts from original estimateRecommends improvements in project management procedures and overall company business practicesOther duties as assignedSkills and Competencies:NICET Level III - Water-based systemsSoftware: AutoSprink, SprinkCad, Revit a plusExcellent written, verbal and presentation skillsDetail oriented with excellent organization skillsProficient in working with Microsoft Office Products including Word and ExcelBenefits:Highly Competitive Pay bonus structure401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceTake the next step in your career - APPLY NOW!
