Diagnostics Technician

The Diagnostic Floor Technician I will disassemble, reassemble, troubleshoot, and maintain vehicle platforms on-site at Roush facilities. This person will communicate between employees, engineering, customers, and requesters. Responsibilities:Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair vehicle equipment and systems to component level failures experienced during operationPerform equipment updates to support testing of vehicle systemsCommunicate diagnostic findings to engineering staff for resolutionPerform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) according to project expectations and vehicle Technical Manuals (TMs) or work instructionsReceive direction from coordinators, customers, and supervisorsAttend daily meetings with team to brief on activities and program or project expectationsPerform pre-drive and post-drive vehicle inspectionsClean up and disposal including daily clean-up of assigned work areas and vehiclesManage time entry including verifying accuracy Requirements:High School diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing vehicle systemsMinimum of 2 years of diagnosing to component level and repairing newly integrated vehicle systemsProficiency in the use of maintenance tools, repair and special tools, diagnostic equipmentProficiency in working from Technical Manuals (TM's), wiring schematics, work instructions, work orders and follow-up of historic troubleshooter findings and notesGood computer skills, including MS OfficeAbility to prepare written technical reportsExcellent verbal and written communication skills and able to interact professionally with othersValid driver's license and clean driving record Preferred:Certification in Automotive Engineering Technology or similar.National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.Knowledge of GM Diagnostic Tools Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
