Production Operator - 8 hr shifts: 4 days M-Th 3rdShift will work Sunday-Wednesday 3p-11:30General Summary:Position is an entry-level position within the manufacturing area, primarily responsiblefor performing weigh-up or packaging duties within the production department.Ensures the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost and meetscustomer specifications and delivery requirements in accordance with policies and procedures.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesObtains the correct documentation for the batchEnsures the correct ingredients aredelivered to the work areaMay be required to obtain the correct ingredientsfor mixing and weigh out the ingredients to meet the recipe specifications.Sets up and starts any weigh-up or packaging machinery, checking all controls foradherence to operating/safety procedures.Notifies appropriate personnel of any issues, problems or concerns in a timely manner.Safely and neatly processes, batch off, screen, cut up, package and/or skid materialto correct size/container according to customer specifications.Accurately supplies/supports Production Operators with appropriate materials/functions toefficiently keep all equipment operational.Performs all required machine cleaning.Completes and maintains required paperwork and/or documents.Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulationsMaintainsdepartmental housekeeping standards.Other duties as assigned.Physical/EnvironDemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee isregularly required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use hands tofinger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and/or hear.Occasionally required to sitThe employee must frequently lift and/or move upto 55 pounds and occasionally handle up to 250 poundsSpecific visionabilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, colorvision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such assafety glasses and shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, hearingprotection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etcThe noise level in the workenvironment is usually moderate with the exception of high noise areasProperpersonal safety equipment needs to be used while performing this job and thatequipment is dictated by the plant safety guidelinesWhile performing theduties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humidconditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemical dust, and risk ofelectric shock, vibration, non-hazardous chemical agents and outside weatherconditionsRegularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborneparticlesThe employee is frequently exposed to vibrationThe employeeis occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk ofelectrical shock.Reports to: Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Supervisor, Shift Supervisor/Lead, or Production Lead.Education:High School Diploma or GED CompletedExperience:Manufacturing - Industrial Operations 1 YearCross Functional - Problem Solving Techniques 1 YearSkills and Certifications:Manufacturing/Maintenance - Fork Lift Operators License CompletedPersonal Skills - Manual Dexterity IntermediatePersonal Skills - Quantitative Skills IntermediatePersonal Skills - Reading/Comprehension IntermediatePersonal Skills - Conflict Resolution Skills IntermediateNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
