Pricing Analyst - 100k- 130kOverview One of Manhattan's most prestigious Law Firms seeks a Pricing Operations Analyst who plays a critical role in the key areas of billing, matter budgeting, client guideline compliance, and system administration. This position coordinates the functions around setting up and maintaining budget-related data, specifically around client matter guidelines, including rates, client matter reporting structures and other client requirements. The Pricing Analyst aids attorneys in creating client-focused pricing proposals that attract business while ensuring the Firm's financial health. The Pricing Analyst will leverage complex pricing models to assess various fee structures, respond to proposal requests, and analyze client and case profitability, in addition to participating in other team projects and initiatives.This versatile position involves working closely with professionals across Finance, Legal Project Management, and Business Development. The ideal candidate is adept at handling multiple priorities, focused on client service, and detail-oriented. A background in legal pricing, law firm financial dynamics, and financial modeling is highly desirable. Experience with corporate transactions is beneficial.The Billing Analyst role has a direct impact to the firm's overall bottom line.Responsibilities Troubleshoot fee execution issues through thoughtful data analysis and understanding of firm systems. Assist in administration of established reporting and budgeting processes coordinating necessary input from matter team. Understand client matter guidelines and systems to advise and maintain best practices of executing agreed upon arrangements. Administration of matter budgets in our budgeting system to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Monitoring and triaging incoming requests and questions from centralized team mailbox. Design, build, and implement tools and process to better control and maintenance of budgets and client reporting. Review new matter openings and ensure creation of necessary budgets and reports in consultation with matter teams. Analyze compliance with client guidelines and reporting out of non-compliance. Advise on opportunities to improve data and processes to reduce configuration time and prevent fee losses. Assist with the yearly auditing for clients. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or business administration. Must have two or more years of experience with working with sensitive financial data and reporting within a law firm or service industry. Experience with financial database software, particularly those used in the professional services industry is required. Knowledge of Elite Enterprise or Elite 3E a plus. Demonstrated expertise with MS Excel, including advanced features such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP functionality, filtering, graphs, and advanced formulas. Demonstrated excellence in both written and verbal communication skills is required. Superior customer service focus and a demonstrated ability to work in challenging, time-sensitive, and dynamic environment. Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to a proactive, collaborative environment. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
