We are a premier automation and controls company that has been around since the 1900s. We are seeking a motivated electrical engineer, looking to make an impact within our company. We provide services ranging from Automation Solutions, Control system upgrades & conversions, Data Acquisition Systems, Instrumentation, Motion Control, Power Distribution, Process Control, Robotics, Retrofit equipment and Systems, Wireless Communications. The Electrical Engineer will design and develop electrical systems used in a wide range of industries. You will need to have a strong understanding of PLCs/HMIs instrumentation, AC Drives & Motors, Coordinated Drive Systems, Robotics and SCADA.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble, test, troubleshoot and modify electrical systemsInstall and maintain electrical equipmentAnalyze and troubleshoot any issues with electrical systemsWrite, modify, and debug programmable logic controllers (PLCs)Work with HMI (Human Machine Interface) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)Conduct tests and inspections to ensure that systems are functioning correctlyDiagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance.Develops wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications or expansion and directs personnel performing routine installation and maintenance duties.Provide technical support to staff and customers regarding electrical systemsCreate and implement safety procedures for all electrical systemsInvolved in the development of new methods to improve product quality and automation.QualificationsBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldAt least 5 years of experience working as an Electrical EngineerExperience working with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADAFamiliarity with AutoCAD softwareStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust be able to travel within western PA and surrounding area to perform field work and service customers.
