The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing project teams for large scale construction projects primarily for K-12, educational, and municipal clients. The SPM oversees and participates in the allocation of resources to ensure a safe, timely, and quality project while achieving and improving the profit margin. Is the primary contact with Owner, Subcontractors, Suppliers and other company personnel. This Senior Project Manager will work very closely with a VP of Operations and move into a PX role in the next 2-3 years. This is an incredible growth opportunity for someone that is looking to run and lead a department and programs. Client DetailsI am representing an award winning General Contractor in the DC Metro that has been in business over 40 years. My client specializes in Design Build projects such as K-12, Local Government, Affordable Housing, and interiors primarily for the DC market. They are seeking a Senior Project Manager that can grow into a Project Executive role and manage this account. My client has been growing 25% YOY. They are looking to grow leaders!This is a full time in office role with site visits DescriptionCreatively solve challenging issues that arise on projects with a positive attitude and in an ethical mannerCommunicate clearly and effectively to clients and subcontractors on the status of the projectProvide leadership that motivates the project team and maintain a positive work environmentManage the project using established project controls and proceduresPerform constructability and coordination reviewsCommunicate with owners, architects, and subcontractors related to project risk, timetables, costs/budgets, and change managementPerform pre-construction planning, scheduling and cost controlBuy-out of job by determining the sub-contracting strategy for the project and preparing front-end documents and bid processes under various project delivery modelsPrepare monthly reports including cost, schedule, safety, cash flow, etc. for internal and/or external usePrepare contingency plans for potential risks, expanding contractual services and project profitProfileAt least 7 years as a Construction Project Manager overseeing the entire lifecycle of new construction projects over 30MExperience with new construction and design-build is preferred Experience with K-12, educational, community, DGS (Department of General Services) is preferred Bachelors is required; Bachelors in Construction, Architecture, or Engineering is preferredProficient in ProcoreSounds like something you think you would be a good fit for?
