SummaryThe Senior Benefits and Wellness Analyst is responsible for driving employee engagement through the effective administration of the organization's benefits and wellness programs. This role supports and partners with the Benefits Manager to ensure that benefits offerings are competitive and compliant and closely aligned with the needs and preferences of the workforce. The Senior Benefits and Wellness Administrator plays a critical role in shaping and implementing strategies that enhance employee well-being and satisfaction, while also contributing to informed decision-making processes that improve overall program effectiveness and engagement.Benefits Administration and EngagementCoordinate and help manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, dental and vision plans, life insurance, disability insurance, and retirement plans.Develop and implement strategies to increase employee engagement and participation in benefits programs.Oversee the open enrollment process, ensuring effective communication and employee support throughout.Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on benefits options, ensuring a positive experience.Collaborate with the Manager of Benefits to assess and select benefits vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA).Wellness Program EngagementDesign and implement wellness programs and initiatives that resonate with employees and encourage healthy behaviors.Increase employee participation in wellness activities through targeted communication and engagement strategies.Develop and execute a wellness communication strategy and calendar, create communications, and deliver them to employees through various channels.Measure the effectiveness of wellness programs using key metrics and employee feedback, and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.Coordinate wellness events, challenges, and activities in collaboration with internal and external partners.Lead and support Wellness Committees (Corporate and Retail).Retirement Plan AdministrationCoordinate and help manage retirement plans, including 401(k), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Conduct educational sessions to increase employee understanding and engagement with retirement planning.Work with financial advisors and plan administrators to monitor plan performance and assist the Manager of Benefits in making informed decisions.Decision Support and ComplianceAssist the Manager of Benefits in analyzing benefits data, trends, and employee feedback to inform strategic decisions.Prepare reports and presentations to support decision-making processes at the management level.Ensure compliance with all applicable benefits and wellness-related regulations, preparing and submitting required reports and documentation.Partner with the Manager of Benefits to evaluate current programs and recommend enhancements based on employee engagement and satisfaction data.Employee Communication and SupportDevelop clear, engaging communication materials to educate employees about benefits and wellness offerings.Provide training and support to HR staff and managers on benefits-related topics, enhancing overall understanding and utilization.Conduct benefits orientation sessions for new hires and support employees during transitions such as retirements and terminations.Other Duties Process and audit vendor invoices.Work with Market C vending vendor on maintaining proper levels of merchandise and evaluation of offerings.Manages the Tuition Reimbursement program and processes payments through Workday.Manages the Tuition Discount Programs offered through various universities.Assists with the management of the on-site clinic.Additional duties and projects as required. Required Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university or equivalent; and 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Internal JD Finish Line experience is strongly preferred.Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or HR certification (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.Strong knowledge of employee benefits laws and regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.).Experience designing and implementing wellness programs with a focus on engagement.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Ability to analyze complex data and make informed recommendations.Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration software.Required Computer and/or Technical SkillsShould have basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Google based platforms (Docs/Sheets/Slides/Forms), Microsoft platforms (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) as well as a basic understanding of functions and relationships of information in Workday/Dayforce system.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
