This role seeks an experienced accounting professional with an active CPA license. Working out of the NYC office, the Assistant Controller will refine and implement financial reporting tools and systems, and be a hands-on leader. DescriptionThe key responsibilities of this role include the followingAssist in preparing and reviewing the monthly reporting packageAnalyze and review balance sheet and income statement analyticsPrepare and review financial statementsDraft and review earnings releases and presentations for quarterly reporting. Prepare and review REIT tax workpapers. Enhance and implement financial reporting tools and systems. Act as a hands-on leader.Maintain strong management skills. ProfileThe successful candidate will possess the following qualities5+ years of public accounting experience.Bachelor's degree in AccountingActive CPA licenseExperience with fixed income financial instruments and mortgage products. Skilled in Microsoft Excel. Relevant experience in GAAP, SEC Reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
