PRIMARY FUNCTION: Primarily responsible for processing hourly payroll for location and providing administrative support for all payroll functions in compliance with all company, federal, state and local regulations.RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:Under general supervision, process hourly payroll ensuring all entries are correct and entered in a timely mannerGather and compile data, creating required weekly and monthly reportsPartner with accounting and corporate payroll to research and resolve payroll related issuesProvide training on payroll system to end users as neededBack up accounting clerk as neededOther duties as assigned by managementSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This is an Individual Contributor role with required competencies: Functional/Technical Skills, Action Oriented, Problem Solving, Learning on the Fly, and Interpersonal SavvyEDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in accounting preferredEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:Minimum two (2) years applicable clerical experience; preferably in payrollProficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook); experience with E-Time and ReportSmith preferredMust have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to keep sensitive information confidential and appropriately handle situations and resolve issues efficiently and effectivelyMust be able to comprehend and communicate effectively in English (read, write and speak); bi-lingual preferredAbility to work in a fast paced environment using excellent organizational skills and precise attention to detailStrong customer focus with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a timely and professional mannerMust possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgencySAFETY REQUIREMENTSFollow all departmental and company safety policies and programsPHYISICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to operate computer, keyboard and mouse; may be stationary for extended periods of timeAbility to work varying shifts (e.g. more than 8 hours,/day, 40 hours/week, weekends and or holidays as needed in support of plant schedulesOccasionally lift up to 20 lbsWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
