One Source Staffing is looking for a Maintenance Team Lead to join a growing manufacturer in the Milwaukee area! This is a direct hire position with the manufacturer.The Maintenance Team Lead will oversee the maintenance operations of a new state-of-the-art facility, focusing on maximizing equipment efficiency, minimizing downtime, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will implement Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), and Preventive Maintenance Optimization (PMO), all of which are essential to enabling Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). This role also involves training and mentoring a specialized team of 12 to 15 maintenance technicians and collaborating cross-functionally with other departments to drive operational excellence.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the implementation of TPM with a focus on the pillars of Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Early Equipment Management, and Training and Education.Execute preventive maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA and SQF regulations.Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean methodologies to optimize processes and reduce waste.Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as equipment uptime/downtime, response times, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), and PM completion.DAY TO DAY ESSENTIAL WORK:Oversee the maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and automated robotic systems, with a particular focus on high-speed packaging lines.Utilize EAM (CMMS) system to schedule, track, and complete work orders efficiently.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues while leading the team in quick and effective repairs.Ensure equipment uptime through proactive maintenance and rapid response to equipment failures.Work closely with contract OEMs and Millwright contractors for specialized weekend maintenance and equipment servicingOCCASIONAL WORK:Lead root cause failure analyses (RCFA) to investigate and resolve recurring equipment issues, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.Collaborate with the OEMs to learn new equipment technology and disseminate knowledge to the team.VALUE ADDED WORK:Mentor and coach team members, providing ongoing technical training and fostering a collaborative work environment.Champion cross-departmental collaboration with operations, quality, sanitation, and distribution teams to ensure seamless operations.Implement a "Zero Loss Mindset" and drive the organization's belief in 100% total employee involvement.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Technical ExpertiseExperience with electrical, mechanical, and automated systems, particularly in high-speed packaging environments. Knowledge of TPM, RCM, RCFA, and PMO is essential.Mechanical SystemsFundamental KnowledgeIn-depth understanding of mechanical systems including gears, bearings, shafts, and belts. Familiarity with pneumatic systems, their operation, and their maintenance.Predictive MaintenanceKnowledge of lubrication, vibration analysis, and wear-and-tear indicators for mechanical components.Preventive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical systems.Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Skilled at diagnosing mechanical failures in pumps, compressors, motors, and other rotating equipment. Ability to use tools like calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators for mechanical troubleshooting.Repair and ReplacementHands-on experience with disassembly and reassembly of mechanical components, including motors, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems. Experience with alignment of shafts and other rotating equipment.Electrical SystemsBasic to Intermediate Electrical Knowledge: Strong understanding of AC/DC motors, motor control circuits, and electrical power distribution systems.Familiarity with electrical wiring standards (e.g., NEC, IEC) and schematics.Troubleshooting Electrical Faults: Experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues using multimeters, megohmmeters, and oscilloscopes.Ability to identify and repair faults in motor starters, relays, circuit breakers, transformers, and other control equipment.Preventive and Predictive Electrical Maintenance: Understanding of predictive tools like thermal imaging and insulation testing to prevent electrical failures.Ability to implement maintenance programs for electrical equipment, including regular testing of wiring, insulation, and motor efficiency.Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs): Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot VFDs for motor speed control.Basic PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) Programming and Configuration: Basic understanding of PLC ladder logic and ability to read and interpret PLC programs. Inputs vs Outputs, indicator lights and sensorsFamiliarity with common PLC brands such as Siemens, and Allen Bradley.Basic Robotic System Knowledge: Understanding of industrial robotic arms, including their working principles, motion control, and end-of-arm tooling (EOAT). Familiarity with brands like FANUC, KUKA, ABB, or Universal Robots (UR).EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:3+ years' experience in a maintenance role and a minimum of 2 years' experience in maintenance leadership roleStrong coaching and mentoring skills, with a focus on empowering team members and clearing barriers to successFamiliarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Strong critical thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applicationsStrong proficiency in mathematical concepts and applicationsProficiency in English both in written and oral communicationCONSIDERED A PLUS: Bilingual English & Spanish a plus.Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:Engagement with employees in the plant is required but some work will be in an office environment. Continental shifts 12 hours, weekend shifts.
