We are seeking a highly experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join our client's dynamic team at a major polymer manufacturing facility in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Candidates for this long-term, on-site role will have a strong background in instrumentation and control systems, particularly in large-scale industrial or chemical plant settings, and over 10 years of relevant industry experience.Instrumentation Engineer Key Responsibilities:• Design & Development: Lead the design, specification, and implementation of instrumentation systems for various production processes.• Installation & Commissioning: Supervise the installation and commissioning of new instrumentation and control systems, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Oversee maintenance programs for instrumentation systems and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure minimal downtime.• Process Optimization: Collaborate with process engineers to optimize production processes through improved instrumentation and automation.• Compliance: Ensure all instrumentation systems comply with industry regulations and standards, such as OSHA, NEC, and other relevant codes.• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of system designs, maintenance schedules, and performance metrics. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.• Project Management: Manage small to medium-sized instrumentation projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.Instrumentation Engineer Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.5 to 10 years of experience in instrumentation, automation, and control engineering, specifically within Oil & Gas, Refinery, or Petrochemical industries.Extensive knowledge of process control systems, including DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems.Proven expertise in automation engineering.Experience with instrumentation in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical plants is required.Professional Engineering (PE) license or ISA certification is a plus.Ideal candidates will be located within daily commuting distance of Monaca, PA.
