The roles will organizationally report to the Resource Manager and support the resource managers, technical lead, and team as well as Energy Systems Project Managers. The PE and be assigned to manage one or several technical areas. This is a unique position in that the Project Engineer will effectively act in simultaneous Project Management, Issue Manager and Technical Leadership roles. The target applicant is high-performing, highly driven, self-starting, solution-oriented and looking to develop skills beyond traditional engineering.Specific responsibilities will be as follows:Drive functional area completion of required scope to support plantResponsible for the managing and driving the schedule and costDrive an accurate demand signal to the functional areas & work with Resource Managers to resource load the scheduleUnderstand risks/challenges within the functional areas and drive solution-oriented thinkingTroubleshoot technical challenges and develop recovery plansLead point of contact for Functional Area Leads and Energy Systems Project ManagerResponsible for discipline representation in the Product Development Review Meeting (PDRM)Supports the Resource Managers, Project Manager and Technical Lead as requiredWhat we need to see from you:Bachelor's degree in engineeringPrevious experience on AP1000 or AP300 preferredAbility to travel internationally as projects require (up to +/- 10% for peak times)Cognizance in at least one of the following technical areas preferred:Protection and Safety Monitoring SystemNeutron Monitoring SystemCommand of responsible subject matter as well as the product application life cycle and design process for the assigned subject matter area.Knowledge of project management principles and a strong desire to work in a newly defined technical project management role.Very effective oral and written communications.Ability to establish effective networks across various functional areas within GIC, Energy Systems, GECS and GSCM.Location: Hybrid Role based out of an existing Westinghouse engineering offices, preferably in Cranberry Woods or Warrendale, PA.Why Westinghouse?Westinghouse Electric Company is the global nuclear energy industry's first choice for safe, clean, and efficient energy solutions.
