Provide a support system for people dealing with drugs, alcohol, and/or other addiction issues. Teach individuals how to modify their behavior with the intention of full recovery.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Work with the case management team to provide services that support a positive treatment outcomeDevelop program participant treatment plans based on results from screening tools and bio-psychosocial assessmentsConsult with collateral sources to coordinate continuity of care for program participantsEnsure adequate substance use disorder services are identified and addressedMaintain client records, including documentation of treatment activity and progressEnsure client records are accurate, comprehensive, and legibleFacilitate weekly groups focusing on substance use disordersComplete monthly reports for the Community Naloxone Data ReportsCreate monthly calendar for staff to administer breathalyzer and urinalysisAdminister breathalyzer and urinalysis testingMaintain written and computerized records, compile reports, and complete other program documentation (e.g., progress notes, incident reports, on-call logs, letters, psychosocial assessments)Perform other duties as assignedEducation and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology); Master's preferredMinimum of 2 years of group therapy and substance use experience requiredIf currently in recovery from a substance use disorder, three to five years of continuous sobriety requiredMust be certified or licensed in the District of Columbia with at least one of the following:Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC)Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC)Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW)Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)Qualifications:Successfully passing the following pre-employment process is required:FBI Fingerprint/Background CheckAlcohol and Drug TestUrine ScreeningTB TestPolice ClearanceMust be fully vaccinatedStrong working knowledge of MS Office 365High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situationsExcellent written and oral communication skillsDemonstrated ability to supervise and manage day-to-day activities of the programMust be able to work a flexible schedule in a 24/7 operation and be on call as needed, including some weekendsPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
