Job Title: Senior Distribution Center ManagerLocation: Irving, TXPay: $85,000 - $90,000Job Purpose: To manage the day-to-day operations of the distribution center in alignment with financial and operational goals. This role oversees the proper execution of operational plans and manages departments such as Maintenance, HR, Kitchen, Inventory, Quality, and Safety, with all administrative dotted line positions reporting to the Senior Distribution Center Manager.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Plan the layout of the warehouse and other storage areas, considering factors like turnover, size, and weight of stored items.Manage financial reporting for the warehouse.Design, create, and implement production planning for the entire warehouse.Advise employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped, as well as equipment use for handling and maintaining stock.Analyze records and recommend corrective actions for slow-moving, non-usable, and excess stock.Review records for accuracy and compliance with procedures and to ensure adequate stock levels.Schedule work for special and periodic inventories.Trace item histories to resolve discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial actions.Establish work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow.Issue written and oral instructions.Assign duties and examine work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies.Standardize procedures to improve efficiency.Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.Adjust errors and address complaints.Perform additional duties as required.Supervisory Responsibilities:Oversee 4-12 subordinate managers who manage departmental supervisors, with a total workforce of 50-100 employees across various departments.Manage responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements, including training, work planning, performance appraisals, employee discipline, complaint resolution, and operational procedure design.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.Reasoning Ability:Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage and lead a diverse workforce.Good organizational skills.Knowledge of distribution center operations.Strong sense of teamwork.Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.Physical Demands:Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.Prolonged periods of sitting at a computer.Climbing stairs may be required.Work Environment:Ability to work in a distribution center environment with varying temperatures.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.ABOUT ACCURATE PERSONNELDo you need your next job fast?
