Now Hiring: Law Enforcement National Sales DirectorPay Range for this role is$220k-300k blended compensation with Salary + Commission based on experienceAbout Performance Protocol: Based in Phoenix, Arizona, Performance Protocol is a trusted law enforcement transformation partner dedicated to identifying and implementing solutions that address the recruitment, development, and retention crisis facing law enforcement nationwide.We do this by leveraging technology to bridge the gaps between human performance, community trust, and the foundation for a safer tomorrow.About the Role: This is a high profile role requiring a strong mental fortitude to work in a startup atmosphere that is creating a paradigm shift within the US Law Enforcement. The National Sales Director will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with key decision makers within target markets as directed by the President, CEO and executive team. While also being an expert in uncovering target customer's pain points and proposing solutions through the P2 suite of products and services.The Enterprise Sales Consultant will report directly to the executive team, and will be supported by a team of Sales Development representatives and one direct account executive. Who can be successful in this role:Live in Phoenix Arizona. Exceptions can be made for outstanding candidates on the west coast within 40 min of an international airport.You charge into ambiguity to find opportunityYou believe discipline in the sales process can be interwoven with experimentationYou are hungry to help shift an industry in need of innovation and mindset realignment. You have strong opinions, loosely held.You are comfortable in building long term relationships and long sales cycles don't scare you, because the reward is greater.You know when to ask for air-cover on deals from the executive team.Experience selling into Law Enforcement or MilitaryResponsibilities:Sales Execution: CRM management, account mapping, and sales advisory. Directly engage in sales activities, including developing key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans.Qualify customers, present proposals, and manage the procurement process.Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.Understand industry-specific landscapes and trends, reporting on the forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.Own each deal from intro call to signed contract, while directing the team and company resources to efficiently close new businessBe the tip of the spear for building a discretionary sales machineAchieve annual targets by successfully mentoring the account managers and SDRs, and with your own individual sales performance.Travel to clients and events about 20% with the potential to ramp up to 50% travelTeam Leadership and Development:Lead the sales team in a player/coach capacity, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development to team members.Recruit, train, and nurture sales personnel, ensuring the team is driven and well-prepared to exceed their sales targets.Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment.Strategic Growth:Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.Partner with customers to understand their agency needs and objectives.Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.Reporting and Management:Report on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of customer accounts.Prepare and present sales, revenue, and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.Qualifications:Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets.Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director.Networking master with ability to captivate people's attention, forge relationships quickly and provide meaningfully advice and guidance to our customers throughout the sales processComfortable speaking in front of groups with excellent presentation skillsAbility to quickly understand and pick up new systems and technologyComfortable working with a CRM and creating reports both for management and broader sales teamAbility to communicate, present and influence all levels of an outside organization, including executive and command staff levels.Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.Proven ability to position products against competitors.Demonstrable experience as an account executive developing client-focused, differentiated and solution-based sellingExcellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.Excellent verbal and written communications skills.Background in government technology and/or law enforcement sales preferred.Prior Military or Law Enforcement experience is preferred.Work Environment:This role allows for 50% remote work, but some travel is required to meet client needs and manage team operations across various locations. 50% of time is spent in HQ office in Tempe, Arizona.
