Our vision is to create a more sustainable world as the industry leading partner in compressed air management that people want to work with and work for.We are looking for an Assessment Engineer, ready to research, analyze, develop, and implement assessments to help deliver energy and cost-saving solutions for our customers.This role serves to identify opportunities for improvement within industrial compressed air systems, including quantifying energy savings opportunities, identifying production improvement opportunities, and documenting these opportunities in order to underscore the impact for our customers.ResponsibilitiesIndependently leads comprehensive (e.g. supply side and demand side), on-site compressed air system assessments at customer facilitiesDevelops rapport and trust with customers to understand their needs, production requirements, and planned changes within their compressed air systemGathers required system data and information, including pressure, power, flow, and air quality, to properly baseline system performanceProcesses, analyzes data and conducts engineering calculations to accurately determine baseline system performanceIdentifies opportunities for efficiency and reliability improvements throughout the compressed air systemQuantify savings and impact of associated opportunities identified during the assessment.Works with data logging equipment throughout the assessment process.Leverages assessment tools, instrumentation, and data to provide deliverables. This includes insertion of flow meters, pressure transmitters, current transmitters, power meters, and pressure dew point transmitters.Assembles assessment report based on findings and presents assessment findings to team and end clients.Works with project team to develop schematic design deliverables to execute on opportunities identified in assessment. This includes creating single line drawings, equipment schedules, piping diagrams, P&ID diagrams, synthesize solutions, and putting together preliminary solutions for our clients.Preferred QualificationsReal-world, hands-on experience executing supply and demand side compressed air assessments in an industrial environment, including planning, implementation, data analysis, and report generationHas a flexible, practical, and objective approach to solving problems and uses strong, independent critical thinking skillsAbility to determine the best technical approach based on project, customer, and budget requirementsAbility to interpret and provide input on electrical drawings, P&ID diagrams, process flowcharts, etc.Familiarity with thermodynamic principles of airOrganized, conscientious, and adaptable in work executionPerceptive and understanding in working with customersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated, capable of working in a team environment or individuallyRequirementsBachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or similarMinimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or industry in an engineering-type roleAbility (and desire!) to travel between 25 - 50%US CitizenshipValid driver's licenseMust pass drug screening and background checkMust have the ability to lift 50 pounds and climb laddersBenefits & PerksMedical, dental and vision insurance coverageLife and Disability insurance coverageCompany 401k matchPaid Vacation TimePaid Parental LeaveAnnual Company Profit SharingProfessional trainingCareer Growth
