POSITION: Channel Manager, Standard ComponentsDEPARTMENT: SalesSUMMARYReporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Channel Manager for standard components is responsible for RAFI's component business within North America. The components business includes control and signaling devices as well as RAFI's industry leading line of tactile switches. These products are primarily sold through distributors with the support of ten Manufacturer's Representatives across the region. This position is responsible for coordinating sales efforts with our distributors and team of independent Manufacturer's Representatives to develop business with new and existing customers and manage order fulfillment. The Channel Manager is a member of a larger team, working with marketing to develop promotional campaigns, collaborating with three Area Sales Managers, and working with the Global Head of Sales for Components (located in Germany). As a member of a large global sales team, the Channel Manager coordinates efforts and strategies with sales professionals in the US, Europe and around the world.This position requires a positive-minded, creative, self-starting, self-sufficient person who enjoys meeting and collaborating with people in the manufacturing environment. This individual will be successful in working closely and fostering strong relationships with our distribution partners and developing new relationships with key customers.RAFI Group Company acquired Xymox Technologies in July 2023. Xymox Technologies is now the headquarters for RAFI's North American business including the warehousing of component products. The Channel Manager will be a Xymox Technologies employee, working on-site in Milwaukee, WI and closely with the entire Xymox team in the execution of the Components business. Xymox now stands at an exciting juncture. This strategic merger enhances Xymox's rich 45-year history in printed electronics with RAFI's century of innovation in HMI. This is the opportunity to join a growing and dynamic company.SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIESChief expectation is to grow the revenue of the components business in North America.Manage and strengthen sales through distribution partners.Support our Area Sales Managers and team of Manufacturer's Representatives. Be the Subject Matter Expert for Components.Monitor and manage order fulfillment.Monitor and manage the sales funnel for components.Build professional and trusting relationships with new and existing customers by understanding customer's requirements and managing customer's expectations.Actively promote RAFI to generate new leads including advertising and trade shows.Identify target markets, industries, and customers.Identify relevant local product needs and relay that information to product management.Report company KPIs.Utilize the company CRM system (C4C).Participate in annual strategic planning and budget development.Training of other personnel as needed.KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEMinimum of 5 years selling within Distribution sales channel selling electro-mechanical or mechanical components.Experience working within the industrial, automotive and/or off-highway vehicle markets a plus.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.COMPENTENCIESCapable of efficiently adapting to new situations.Effective in juggling multiple priorities and tasks.Adheres to published work instructions, customer specifications and approved references.Able to follow instructions and take initiative to complete work.Consistently demonstrates behaviors to get the job done.Able to effectively communicate using e-mail and telephone.Able to write concise, informative reports or analyses.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Travel long distance and internationally.Ability to rent and drive a standard passenger car.Operate office equipment.PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTSCandidate must be a US citizen/Legal Permanent Resident and meet Xymox security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
