In this Event Coordinator role, the successful candidate will assist with managing logistical demands of large-scale events, maintain communications with alumni, and provide administrative support. Responsibilities include:Coordinating event registration processes, including Slate/event app setup and maintenanceCollaborating with campus partners like Facilities, Multimedia Services, and CateringDay of event check-in and providing logistical supportLogistical and communications support including event emails, event social media, web updates including speaker bios/photos, attendee managementHandling post-event communications including email and web updates; minutes finalized and posted online, etc.Maintaining and updating web and data functions, troubleshooting applications and reports, and evaluating processesClass Notes Coordination Collecting, organizing and reviewing all class notes in preparation for the Spring 2025 deadlineMaintaining records, timelines, budgets, and spending for programsProviding administrative supportRequirementsBachelor's degree desirableAt least 1 year event planning and administrative experienceProficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and ability to learn new applicationsExcellent interpersonal, time management, organizational, and customer service skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to successfully engage with students, faculty, staff, alumni & vendorsAbility and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekend event hoursThe Event Coordinator is a full-time two-month contract role onsite in Amherst. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.
