LHH is seeking a skilled Editor for our client, a renowned national nonprofit, who will manage all aspects of the publication process. This includes financial operations, content collection, peer review, production, and distribution. The ideal candidate for this contract-to-hire opportunity will collaborate closely with the EVP and Editorial Board to enhance the company impact and reach.Major Responsibilities:Oversee publication functions to ensure timely releaseManage the Editorial Boards, including support for meetings, agendas, and presentationsOversee financial functions, ensuring budget adherence and efficient operations.Partner with editorial leadership to develop strategies for journal growth and visibility.Manage peer-review and production processes, driving efficiencies and innovations.Provide training for Editorial Manager and create materials for authors, reviewers, and editors.Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external partners related to the journals.Supervise the Publications Coordinator, including performance reviews and professional development.Requirements:Bachelor's degree required.Minimum 5 years of editorial office experience, with 2+ years in a managerial role.Proven experience working with Editorial Boards and senior executives.Familiarity with journal P&L, peer review, and production management software.Excellent writing, copyediting, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Competencies:Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Technical capacity and attention to detail.Effective time management and teamwork orientation.Excellent written and verbal communication skills."Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401k plan.
