This individual would report on-site to the Rockland County, NY headquarters. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a long-term home with a company that helps veterans, the disabled, and the elderly!Key Responsibilities:Recruitment, candidate selection, and the onboarding processManaging a company's candidate evaluation processEnsuring that the company's procedures comply with employment regulationsMonitoring various aspects of employee performance, such as attendance and sick leaveDesigning and implementing training programs based on assessed needsHandling any disciplinary processes and formal grievancesSetting and reviewing pay structures and employee perks and benefitsMaintaining employee benefits programs including annual health insurance renewals, competitive leveling and employee communicationManage HR employeesManage Staffing Agency/Recruiter relationshipsPerform any other related duties as required or assignedPrepare FMLA paperwork as neededEnsure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirementsMaintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and proceduresMaintain organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changesEnsure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timelyQualifications:3-7+ years in Human ResourcesHuman Resources certification preferredProven ability to recruit successfully using all major recruiting platforms - LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalize ideasStrong leadership skills and the ability to motivate staffA solid understanding of the key principles of employment lawThe ability to remain calm in stressful situations including during disciplinary hearings or staff conflictsSolid ethics and morals and sound judgmentAssociate or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related preferredAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environmentProficient with MS Office applications (Outlook/Word/Excel)Excellent customer service skills with the ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanorPossess strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracyAbility to maintain the highest level of confidentialityMust be a team playerLocation: Valley Cottage, NY (On-Site)The salary range for this position, based in Valley Cottage, NY, is $150,000 to $200,000 per year. The final salary will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
