Steele Brands is seeking a talented HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST to add to our team!The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in promoting an engaging and positive work environment for employees. Responsible for implementing proven practices and programs in which employees feel recognized, valued and supported. Includes but not limited to policy administration, recruitment, benefits, system administration, employee relations, employee onboarding and employee offboarding. Interfacing with various levels of employees, this role will assist and support the HR Leader in all facets of HR.RESPONSIBILITIES:Participate in recruitment processes for corporate positions, contributing to the selection of the best talent for our teamSupport corporate restaurants with recruiting needs; posting jobs, sending resumes, scheduling candidatesDevelop and implement an engaging onboarding program for new employees along with automating the completion of required paperwork and various tasks Responsible for benefits administration; managing benefits enrollment, new hires, status changes and terminations for the various benefit plans and carriersPromote a culture of collaboration and recognition Assist with organizing company-wide meetings, offsites and various eventsProvide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practicesAddress employee concerns and employee relations matters in a fair and timely manner, promoting a positive work environmentMaintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain complianceWork on a variety of special projects as required related to the development and implementation of business needs and HR programs/initiativesMaintain accurate employee status and organizational updates; including new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, salary adjustments, org chart updatesMaintains HR Systems along with finding ways to improve processes for consistency and efficiency REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business and/or human resources A minimum of 5 years human resources experience Experience working in a fast-paced business environmentExperience with HR systems along with MS Office Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated knowledge of employee benefits Strong communication skills, both verbal and writtenKnowledge of compliance within HR and the ability to ensure it within the workplaceAbility to multitask and manage a diverse range of HR tasksAble to work independently, a team player and with all levels of staffDemonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
