Accordingly, we invite you to join our team.Since this position requires the Property Maintenance Technician to be on call, candidates should live within 20-30 minutes from the Englewood, NJ Area.Job Summary:The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing the maintenance, cleaning, and repairs of all units and common areas within multiple properties including solving issues as they arise while preventively maintaining mechanical and non-mechanical equipment of each property. This includes performing basic functions while engaging appropriate third-party specialists when needed.Essential Functions:Perform routine inspections, maintenance, installations and repairs of the buildings' mechanical systems and equipment.Respond to building issues as raised by users and ensure prompt resolution.Must identify any hazardous conditions or equipment and plan as well as execute standard operating procedures to resolve these concerns.Must have basic understanding and experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and carpentry.Plan and perform a cleaning schedule as appropriate for each property.Identify instances when outside vendors may be required to install, repair or inspect any mechanical/non-mechanical equipment and work with property management to select, monitor and inspect vendor's work to ensure the work has been to the property management's satisfaction.Must know and execute all job duties within the guidelines of OSHA and building code requirements.Work with the Operations team to execute property improvements and other projects.Qualifications and Experience:Minimum of 3 years of property maintenance experience.Must have experience with inspections, repairs (or related) and installations for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems within the building and living quarters.Requires a positive and understanding demeanor when communicating with residents, families, staff, community officials and the public.Must be absolutely trustworthy and possess the ability to interact with elderly residents.Requires reliable transportation, an unexpired driver's license and clean driving record.Physical Capabilities:Must be able to stand and walk regularly during shift without assistanceMust be able to lift, push or pull up to 60lbs regularly with or without assistanceMust be able to bend, twist, stand or crouch regularly and without assistanceESU is proud to be an equal opportunity employer that values diversity in all forms.
