OverviewInsight Global is seeking a junior Corrosion Engineer to join our team for an exciting opportunity to work on a unique government contract. As a Junior Corrosion Engineer, you will work with a high-performing team providing technical, engineering, and administrative expertise to the government customer, ensuring the weapon system remains a reliable and effective nuclear deterrent. You will help to identify corrosion affects, potential corrosion, and help to implement or improve corrosion mitigations. This cross functional team has a vast presence among the entire weapon system supporting both ground systems and guidance navigation.Day to Day:Performing Engineering and technical analyses and report on findings Review program documentation and technical dataEvaluate plans, reports, and requirements Evaluate alternate materials and substrates to address concerns, reduce hazardous material usage, and implement pollution prevention measuresPeer review to ensure alignment Provide recommendations to the government customerMust Haves:Committed to results and success in accomplishing goals, as well as a fast learner with demonstrated ability to quickly learn technology and understand unique system requirements.Ability to sit on-site at Hill AFB in Clearfield, UT Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPointEligible candidates must be able to acquire a U.S. Government Secret security clearanceZero (0) to two (2) years of professional experienceBachelor or Master of Science degree in Corrosion Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program Plusses:Familiarity with metal alloysUnderstanding of how various metals interact with environmental elements as it relates to corrosion National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) training or certification highly desired Bachelor's degree in Corrosion Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Materials Science Engineering preferredActive Secret ClearanceExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
