Human Resources Director$140,000 - $160,000100% Onsite Near Southfield, MIOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to lead our client's HR team exhibiting strong multi state compliance expertise.Mandatorymulti-state compliance experience especially CA and NYFranchise experience from a human resources perspective Currently in director or equivalent role for the past 3+ yearsQualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration (HR focus) or equivalent experience; HR certification preferred5+ years in HR leadership, with 3+ years managing a team (5 years preferred) and 5+ years in employee relationsExperience in large, multi-state environments with distributed workforce; familiarity with traditional and franchise business modelsStrong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills; adaptive and able to work in ambiguous situationsProficient in Microsoft and Google platforms; experience with ADP HRIS and HCM or other HRIS systems; technologically savvyResponsibilities:Create and enforce HR policies and procedures; ensure compliance with laws and regulationsManage workplace investigations and resolve employee relations issues; handle government inquiries and reporting (EEO-1, VET, affirmative action)Oversee employee change requests, offer letters, separations, and agreements; select recruitment tools and support onboardingImprove ATS, HRIS, and Case Management systems; stay updated on HR trends, best practices, and legal changes; support Payroll and Risk Management processes; manage employee benefits and compliance with leave management; review customer contracts for compliance; develop and manage departmental budget; facilitate HR staff development and training"Benefit offerings may include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
