Job SummaryThe Administrative Assistant (IT Focus) will provide administrative support to the IT department, assist in the coordination of IT-related projects, and ensure efficient operation of IT systems and processes. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative SupportProvide general administrative support to the IT department, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.Project CoordinationAssist in the coordination and management of IT projects, ensuring timelines and milestones are met.Documentation ManagementMaintain and organize IT documentation, including system configurations, user manuals, and project plans.Inventory ManagementMonitor and manage IT inventory, including hardware and software assets, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper documentation.Help Desk SupportAssist in providing first-level technical support to staff, logging issues, and escalating complex problems to the appropriate IT personnel.Vendor CoordinationCoordinate with IT vendors and service providers, ensuring timely delivery of services and resolving any issues that arise.System MaintenanceAssist with routine system maintenance tasks, such as updates and backups, under the guidance of IT professionals.Data ManagementSupport data entry, data cleansing, and data analysis tasks as required by the IT department.ComplianceEnsure compliance with company policies and procedures related to IT operations and data security.RequirementsExperiencePrevious experience in an administrative or IT support role is preferred.SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, familiarity with IT systems and software, strong organizational and multitasking abilities.EducationA bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Administration is preferred.AttributesExcellent communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.Preferred QualificationsExperience with IT project management tools and software.Basic understanding of networking, hardware, and software troubleshooting.Previous experience in an IT department or technology-focused organization.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
