Job Description: HR Intern at June JacobsJune Jacobs is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated HR Intern to support our HR department with a variety of administrative and HR-related tasks. Reporting directly to the HR Director, this intern will play a key role in employee data management and other essential HR functions.This position is fully in-person, with work locations in both Moonachie, NJ, and Midtown, NY. The intern will be expected to work in the office from Monday to Wednesday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The pay rate for this role is $20 per hour.Key Responsibilities:Maintain and update internal employee databases, transitioning employee records from paper to digital formats.Collaborate closely with the HR Director and interact with department managers to manage expectations effectively.Assist with personnel administration, including employee information management and new hire paperwork.Manage office tasks such as sorting and organizing employee files.Enter employee records into the HR Information System, covering areas like new hires, terminations, and absences.Respond to HR inquiries and support other Human Resources-related tasks as needed.Provide recommendations to improve HR policies and practices.Qualifications:Pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.At least one year of experience in an office environment.Basic knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance requirements.Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.Effective verbal and written communication skills.
