We are just getting started as the future applications of our technology are nearly limitless.Role OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to partner with our CEO to oversee the day-to-day operations of our rapidly growing business lines, which include recommerce services, PPE decontamination, and down recycling. The COO will collaborate with our CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing teams, driving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional results.ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipDevelop and execute operational strategies for our fire/PPE and down recycling businesses while supporting the growth and evolution of our recommerce and R&D efforts. Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.Operational Excellence: Oversee key aspects of business operations and employee productivity, including but not limited to:Supply chain and operational management across all lines of businessEfficiency and scalability across our warehousesFinancial management, budgeting, and forecastingHuman resources, talent acquisition, training and developmentMachine manufacturing supply chain managementGeographical expansion across North America and GloballyTechnology infrastructure and systemsResearch and development expansionTeam BuildingBuild, develop, and lead a high-performing operations team.Process ImprovementIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.Risk ManagementAssess and mitigate operational risks.Financial PerformanceMonitor and analyze financial performance metrics, ensuring profitability and growth. Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to ensure that the company achieves investor targets.Sales & PartnershipsPartner with CEO in sales management so that sufficient investment capital can be budgeted for near-term growth targetsScalabilityDevelop and execute plans for scaling operations to support business growth with a focus on maximizing our physical footprint. Cross-functional CollaborationWork closely with all other departments (e.g., sales, operations, technology) to achieve company goals.Required QualificationsProven track record as a COO or in a senior operations role in a services or relevant startup or high growth small business.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and motivate teams.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational strategies.Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.Willingness to get your hands dirty and demonstrate a high degree of bias for action and ownership of tasks, both small and large.Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and forecasting.Experience with logistics, services, hardware-as-a-service, or the retail industry is preferred.Bachelor's degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred.Preferred skills and qualificationsFundraising experienceInternational business experienceWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to be part of a high-growth small businessFun and dynamic entrepreneurial environment where you will have an immediate impact401k packageHealth, Dental & Life Insurance Opportunities for free or discounted gear from many of our brand partners
