RSI Logistics, recently acquired by Trinity Industries is seeking a Hub Operations Manager for our Houston, TX location. The Manager is responsible for overseeing the Operations Hub that supports Gulf Coast Site Coordination activities and will lead a team of Site Coordinators, Storage Coordinators, and Supervisors. This role will ensure seamless logistics operations and foster proactive relationships with key stakeholders while also ensuring the efficiency, safety and compliance of rail transportation within the organization.What You'll Do: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of rail operationsOversee the planning and execution of inbound and outbound railcar needs across multiple sitesManage coordination activities to meet loading and unloading requirementsEnsure alignment of rail operations with the overall supply chain strategy of the organization.Proactively focus on Continuous Improvement and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvementsLead and participate in governance meetings to review performance, strategy, and continuous improvement initiativesProvide leadership during critical rail-related unplanned events such as service disruptions, acts of nature, shut down railcars, etc. ensuring timely communication and effective mitigation strategiesParticipate in Quick Response Teams (QRT) and develop strategic response plans for various scenariosCoordinate with local and regional railroad operations personnel during unplanned events to ensure minimal disruption to operationsDevelop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of rail operationsEnsure adherence to SLA standards and reporting for KPIs, SLAs, and Stewardship initiatives.Provide regular updates to executive leadership on the status of rail operations and any critical issuesConduct Root Cause Investigations and implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issuesHire, train, and develop a high-performing team of Site Rail Coordinators and SupervisorsConduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team membersFoster a culture of continuous improvement, problem solving and operational excellence within the teamDevelop and implement annual Hub Operations budgetWhat You'll Need:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years' experience in leadership role in rail operations or logistics management (5+ years preferred)Strong knowledge of rail industry regulations and safety standardsProven track record of developing and implementing strategic initiativesExcellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skillsProficient in the use of logistics software and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
