Our success rests squarely on three bedrock principles:People--our center of gravity!Mission--what inspires us!An unyielding commitment to Excellence--what separates us!Come be a part of our team and help us help national security customers make a difference in the world!Job Description: As the Vice President of Business Development, Intelligence Community Account, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's expansion and revenue growth in key IC customers primarily including NGA and DIA.Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategic business opportunities that align with the company's overarching growth objectives. Specifically, you will engage with customers to understand mission needs and translate these needs into viable pipeline for the company to pursue. You will qualify opportunities, perform early capture activity to position our company, support proposals when needed, and establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will lead pre-capture/capture activity to enable the Cydecor proposal development team to deliver compliant and compelling proposals by translating your BD expertise and knowledge of the customer into capture strategies that can be executed prior to proposal drop to maximize positioning and Pwin.Specific Responsibilities include:Lead the development, management, and execution of account plans for growth in the customer including addressable market, pipeline development, customer engagement plan, investment, teaming partnerships, etc.Identify, research, qualify, and pursue new market opportunities to expand the company's footprintPerform gate reviews with an eye toward content that helps decision makers understand the opportunity and how we win while performing activities that increase PwinInitiate, develop and maintain relationships with key customers, teammates, and partnersDevelop and execute capture plans and strategies using outcome-based capture processesPerform market research and analysis to inform overarching Cydecor business and growth strategies including the understanding of customer budgets, customer needs, growth areas, and competitive landscapeProvide input and support to the CGO in the formulation of broader growth strategies and initiativesProvide feedback on M&A targets and perform due diligence when neededAssist P&L leads with growth of contracts by helping to identify new opportunities and customer needs as appropriateCollaborate with the marketing and social media team to align business development and marketing strategies that appeal to existing and future customersPartner with other functionals to include marketing, technology development, and operations, to ensure alignment with upcoming opportunities and future customer needsBasic RequirementsBachelor's degree in Technical, Business, Finance, or a related field, or proven track record of abilitiesExperience working within the customer set (e.g. military, government, contractor) that has resulted in a foundational understanding of customer mission, procurement habits, and business processesExisting understanding of IC customers and ability to build relationships with key decision makers within the customerAwareness of competitive landscape within customer to better understand competitors and vendors and facilitate partnerships when neededStrong analytical and strategic thinking skillsBasic business acumen related to opportunity pursuitExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to writeAbility to present opportunities in a coherent way that promotes efficient decision makingStrong attention to detailActive TS/SCIAdditional Requirements:12-15 years of experience in business development, and/or a proven track record of growthExperience supporting strategic planningExperience supporting capture and proposalMentoring/coaching experience in pipeline developmentWork Schedule and Location:Expect to spend 1-2 days in person at Cydecor HQ (Crystal City)Expect to travel to customer sites to meet with customersExpect to meet with teammates and partnersAt times, during proposal development or strategic plan development, the in-person requirement may increaseBenefits:Cydecor offers a comprehensive and extremely competitive compensation package including Health and Dental Insurance, Vision and Life Insurance, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability, 401(K) + company match, Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Company Holidays, Tuition Assistance Program and more.What We Believe We have an unwavering commitment to diversity with the aim that every one of our people has a full sense of belonging within our organization.
