Job Title: Building Automation Technician/ProgrammerLocation: Ventura, CAJob SummaryWe seek an experienced Building Automation Technician/Programmer to join our team in Ventura, CA. This critical role will focus on the programming, programming, integrating, and optimizing systems (BAS) across commercial facilities. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise with platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, and other BAS technologies to drive energy efficiency, system reliability, and seamless integration of HVAC, lighting, and other mechanical systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, configure, and optimize building automation systems using Tridium Niagara, Distech, and other platforms.Integrate multiple building systems, ensuring smooth communication between HVAC, lighting, and other mechanical devices.Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to enhance system performance and operational efficiency.Collaborate with engineering teams and clients to gather requirements, design control strategies, and meet specific project goals.Maintain comprehensive documentation of system programming, configurations, and revisions to ensure compliance with industry standards.Perform system testing, commissioning, and validation to ensure optimal functionality and adherence to performance expectations.Provide ongoing technical support to clients, addressing issues and optimizing system performance based on feedback.QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of direct experience in building automation programming, focusing on Tridium Niagara and Distech platforms.Strong understanding of BAS control strategies and commercial building system integration (HVAC, lighting, security systems, etc.).Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.Strong communication skills for interfacing with project teams, engineers, and clients.Proficiency with tools such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and other industry-standard software.Local and stable work history, commitment to long-term projects based in Ventura, CA, or willingness to relocate.
