Must Haves:Proficient in word processing and computer workAble to access and navigate different web-based software, including Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Office, and OutlookExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with field and office staff.Strong organizational skills.Flexible and willing to be on their feet.Comfortability handling confidential documents.Self-starter who is comfortable pivoting and multi-tasking, takes initiative, and feels empowered and motivated to make decisions after initial instruction.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Undergo a two-week training period, focusing on three core competencies: ergonomics, workers' compensation documentation, and hazard identification.After two months of training, conduct field visits independently once comfortable identifying hazards.Maintain work records and prepare reports.Ensure effective communication and coordination with team members.Maintain safety specialist reports (monthly and quarterly).Serve as the ergonomic program contact: perform ergonomic evaluations for office staff, and maintain and order ergonomic equipment.Schedule First-Aid and CSOT classes, including rescue and refresher training through the training department.Maintain and track the modified duty program.Maintain and progress the safety committee.Maintain SharePoint.Assist with input of injuries into safety plus tracking software.Schedule and track audiograms.Monitor and coordinate RPP medical surveillance with employee health.Track equipment recalibration and send equipment to vendors when necessary.Conduct periodic field visits under the direction of the safety specialist.Plusses:General knowledge of safety practices, policies, and procedures.Experience with a variety of computer software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheet, andAbility to learn safety rules and regulations.
