This position is a contract opportunity which is expected to be on-site in Lake Buena Vista, FL for a duration of 18+ Months with the possibility to go Direct.As a Controls Software Engineer with the Ride and Show Control Team, you will work on creative solutions and implementing control systems for ride and show motion applications to enhance our guest experience. We are looking for a Controls Software Engineer that can contribute to the development of control systems for rides, transportation and entertainment.You will work on electrical and electronic systems that provide motion control of ride vehicles and animation. We ask that you have knowledge in software development in multiple languages on industrial controls or entertainment systems. We seek an individual that works well both individually and as member of the project team.You will report to a Team Leader, Ride ControlsDevelop software design documents used to create and review code for various industrial control-based platforms and projectsDevelop safety analysis documents used in safety critical applicationsDevelop and maintain software code for Rockwell, Siemens and Beckhoff PLCsDevelop and maintain C/C++ code on industrial embedded controllersDevelop and maintain software for industrial Graphical User InterfacesDevelop and perform control system acceptance test plansRequired:5+ years of experience in industrial controls or the entertainment ride and show industryProficient in PLC programming and C/C++Experience in safety related control systemsExperience in software development planning and documentationExperience in version control and collaboration software toolsKnowledge of industrial network protocols, AS-I, INTERBUS, ControlNet, Profinet, CIP and Ethernet IPExperience in software testing and commissioningEducationBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalentPreferred Education:Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, CoPreferredExperience in developing risk assessments and designs using IEC/ISO functional safety standardsFamiliar with IEC - 61131 using Ladder Diagram and Structured TextExperience in safety control system design using safety PLCs and safety devicesKnowledge of industrial control system hardware and system architectureKnowledge of I/O and Supervisory Network systems
