Payroll Analyst (US & Canada)Location: Hybrid 3x a week, downtown SeattleProject Term: 18-24 monthsRate: $40 - $50 per hourWe are seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to manage multi-state payroll operations for both the US and Canada. In this role, you will ensure that payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with all applicable regulations. You will act as a key liaison between internal teams and external vendors, and be responsible for managing large volumes of data to ensure seamless payroll operations. Your knowledge of US and Canadian labor laws and your ability to process complex payroll transactions will be vital to success. Join us for an exciting project and make a significant impact on payroll operations!Key Responsibilities:Perform analytical tasks related to bi-weekly payroll, including pre-audits, post-audits, file monitoring, and resolving discrepancies.Collect and validate payroll inputs such as time adjustments, bonuses, deductions, and additional pay items.Handle high-level case resolution (Level 3 escalations) and perform advanced payroll analysis.Reconcile and audit payroll activities, investigate variances, and coach payroll processors on corrective actions.Assist in troubleshooting, offering expert guidance to payroll specialists.Act as a specialist in managing high-volume payroll transactions and complex cases.Conduct ongoing training for the payroll processing team on payroll procedures and new compliance regulations.Resolve accounting variances related to payroll transmit and maintain payroll processing checklists.Perform payroll code maintenance and conduct user acceptance testing for system updates.Qualifications:3-5 years of experience in multi-state payroll, payroll tax, and garnishment administration.CPP certification or advanced payroll compliance knowledge is preferred.Strong understanding of HR and Payroll regulations, including FLSA, wage and hour compliance, payroll tax compliance, and more.Expert knowledge of complex gross-to-net payroll calculations.Experience with PeopleSoft Payroll is required.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external partners.Prime Team Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
