Job Description:Position Description:/u00A0/u00A0Designs and develops software using Snowflake, Python, and Kafka. Works in fast paced Agile software delivery teams, ensuring system stability, and building processes to ensure and improve data quality. Applies knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools -- GitHub, Maven, Jenkins and Udeploy. Designs and develops enterprise database applications using database technologies Oracle SQL, PLSQL, Application Express (APEX), and Snowflake. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management./u00A0/u00A0Primary Responsibilities:/u00A0/u00A0Participates in architecture design teams./u00A0Defines and implements application-level architecture./u00A0Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division./u00A0Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans./u00A0Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables./u00A0Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems./u00A0Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms./u00A0Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget./u00A0Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects./u00A0Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects./u00A0Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues./u00A0Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives./u00A0Advises senior management on technical strategy./u00A0Mentors junior team members./u00A0Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives./u00A0Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts./u00A0/u00A0Education and Experience:/u00A0/u00A0Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing database, python, and ETL application development in an enterprise application development environment./u00A0/u00A0Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing database, python, and ETL application development in an enterprise application development environment./u00A0/u00A0Skills and Knowledge:/u00A0/u00A0Candidate must also possess:/u00A0/u00A0Demonstrated Expertise (/u201CDE/u201D) designing and developing enterprise database applications using database technologies Oracle SQL, PLSQL, Python, Application Express (APEX), and Snowflake; and designing and developing ETL applications using Informatica, UNIX Shell Scripts, and Autosys./u00A0DE automating test cases for Oracle PL/SQL components using Oracle utPLSQL testing framework and ICEDQ framework executed through CI/CD pipelines; and analyzing data by querying Oracle and Snowflake databases, using SQL, PL/SQL, and Python./u00A0DE performance tuning SQL queries and PL/SQL code causing performance issues by analyzing SQL Execution Plans and Oracle Automatic Workload Repository (AWR) reports./u00A0DE developing database and ETL end to end applications using Toad, Oracle SQL Developer, Putty, Snowflake Web UI, Amazon Web Services, and GitHub; and performing CI/CD using Jenkins, Udeploy, and Autosys./u00A0PE1M2/u00A0Certifications:Company OverviewFidelity Investments is a privately held company with a mission to strengthen the financial well-being of our clients.
