This is a permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage our financial operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our financial planning, budgeting, and auditing processes. If you have a passion for finance, a keen eye for detail, and a knack for numbers, we would love to hear from you.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash. Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss by division, forecast vs. budget by division and weekly cash flow by division. Conduct regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded. Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting. Ensure company financial records, under responsibility, are maintained in compliance with company policies and US GAAP. Responsible for reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure this compliance. Supervise the preparation of the corporate annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses. Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report. Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company. Interpret the company's financial results to management and recommend improvement activities. Engage in benchmarking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred. Experience in government accounting regulations, budgeting, tax preparation, auditing, and bank reconciliations is required.Interested in hearing more?
