JOB PURPOSE: A Production Analyst prepares statements, statistical reports and tables, exhibits, transmittal letters, schedules and prepares information for management analysis and forward planning. They handle department forecast analysis, projection analysis, statistical report analysis, requirement analysis, and forecast analysis collectively utilizing system and division metrics. Production Analyst may also prepare community review recommendations, assist in creating communication plans for current division procedures and policies implemented by Corporate Production mandates and requirements. Duties and Responsibilities Must have the ability to analyze and decipher system reports to create a roadmap of systemic issues and production metrics that the Director of Production can analyze to develop improvement plans and forecast planning timely. Research, data gathering and project specific assignmentsWill assist and create department communication plans to ensure clear and concise delivery of department process changes, new directives, system reporting are available for metric review and evaluationMay be required to expedite and prioritize resource schedules Maintain schedule templates Take pro-active measures to ensure department-wide compliance Compile and distribute research in the form of narratives, graphics, data summaries, for internal and external customers, vendors, clients, as needed Generate and distribute trade reports that directly support the Director of Production, Area Construction Managers and Community Teams (Project Managers and Superintendents) for scheduling trades and trade crews. Analysis on starts cadence by community Present findings back to senior management Collect data on subs and PM/Superintendent responsible for the actual build and management of homes by analyzing data for management (metric should be easy to read format) Assist in client and prospect materials preparation; coordination with the Purchasing department Risk Monitoring - Support a Production Risk Model (PRM) and review daily risk exception reportsIncludes coordinating with Safety LeaderRisk Budgeting & Production Monitoring - Act as liaison to PMs as directed by management in creating new portfolio risk assessments, assisting with implementing changes to existing risk factors and ensuring consistent production/staffing across communities Strategic Development - Work with other departments in developing tools and communication plans Client Focus -assist with reviewing customer feedback to identify systemic issues for management in departments to collectively evaluate and work towards solutions, ultimately setting goals for customer care scoresOther duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and SkillsAbility to provide accurate, consistent work on a timely basis.A solid understanding of production statistics and industry principals.Strong interpersonal skills, articulate, capable of communicating with a diverse range of individualsExcellent computer skills in Microsoft Office with expertise in Excel is requiredMust have strong analytical and have strategic thinking skills Must demonstrate the ability to understand and translate system data into division production dashboard metrics as required by managementEducation and Work Experience A minimum of 6-10 years of experience within the Homebuilding industryRecommended bachelor's degree in Business, Construction, Accounting or Finance combined with 4 plus years' experience or equivalent years of experience in homebuilding, real estate, or trade experience.
