The Staff Accountant II ensures the integrity of accounting information by engaging in general ledger closing activities. Including timely and accurate preparation of complex account reconciliations, account analysis, adjustment calculation and preparation of journal entries. Let us tell you about the perks! What you'll be doing: Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:Preparation, review and posting of accurate and timely general ledger account reconciliationsMaintain overall accuracy and integrity of the general ledger records and reconciliationsParticipate in activities related to the month-end closing process, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, variance explanations and financial reportingPrepare schedules for internal/external auditors in connection with reviews/audits.Ensure compliance with accounting policies,Analyze, prepare and maintain schedules for accounting accrualsFormulate financial analysis and reportsEstablish and maintain effective relationships by working cross functionally with other disciplines throughout the company providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.Work cross-functionally with other departments to increase financial reposting accuracy.Responsible for other ad hoc reports and projects as assigned What YOU need is: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty consistently and accurately. Education: BS/BA in Accounting or Finance from a four year college or university; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience/Skills Needed: At least 3-5 years of accounting experience requiredMust be detail oriented, and possess great accuracy and organizational skillsCable and/or telecommunications industry experience preferredCPA candidate preferredAudit experience preferredAbility to work independentlyComfortable working remotely Computer Skills: Experience with NetSuite software helpful but not requiredHigh proficiency with MS Excel and analysis/problem solving capabilitiesAbility to effectively navigate financial software, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Order Processing, InventoryOverall understanding of how each accounting process (i.e. G/L, A/R, A/P) impacts the others Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
